Cold Headed Steel External Square Head for the Music Industry

External Square Head Stem with Ball Collar

The Fastron Co. was commissioned by a customer in the music industry to fabricate the special external square head stem with ball collar as highlighted below. Utilizing a state of the art 5" long heading machine, 1022 steel was formed to the specified profiles while maintaining a tight tolerance of ±.0015" throughout. Shaving was employed for the precision contouring and detailing, and the parts were rolled to generate the required threading. A chrome plating process was implemented for added corrosion resistance and increased surface hardness. Varied lengths and shapes were produced for the customer's intended applications. In line with our commitment to quality, the unit was thoroughly inspected with dimensional and visual techniques.

Overall dimensions of the finished part were 3.624" in length, and 0.572" in diameter. Production took place at our ISO 9001:2008 certified facility where all methods and materials conform to the highest industry standards.
